Well, I guess that's Form 5 life for ya'll. Life has changed a lot since last year.

Based on the Lunar (Chinese) calendar, it is stated that this year is the Year of the Tiger... (Ok, I'm no Feng Shui fanatic) but school has been a ''roaring'' time since Day 1 for me. With homework, interventions and assignments, it just makes a guy wanna shut himself in a room with music turned to the highest volume!

I've been lacking sleep, energy and more importantly FUN. Hate to say it but my life was turning dull till I started thinking about ''THE FUTURE''. What would happen if every student just gave up their interest to work hard and study? Where are we gonna find doctors, lawyers, engineers, teachers and all the other professionals of this world in the years to come? Every person (big or small) contributes something to this earth and the people on it. One person gives up, eventually 10 people will give up, then come 100, then 1000....(Leading to a very big Geometric Progression)

BUT,
If one person, stands up for what is right and walks the right path in the things he do. Eventually he can influence others. *Sejarah time* Because Mahatma Gandhi's efforts India, he became a great influence to many, including the leaders of Tanah Melayu eventually leading to our country's independence. Because of Martin Luther King, we have a handful of orators today breeding this new generation to speak properly and with confidence.

Because of Jesus Christ, that there is now salvation for this earth. As stated in John 3:16, ''For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.'' Now people can walk spiritually free for they are no longer slaves to sin when they accept Christ as their Lord and Saviour. Whcih gives me great pride to take this opportunity to inform all my readers about the 11th KL/PJ SCF Leaders' Convention 2010.

Some of you may have heard of it and some haven't, let me give you all little briefing. This convention will be held on 6th February 2010 (Saturday) from 2pm to 6.30pm. It's gonna be difficult for me to explain the details out here in my blog so if any of you are interested to come for this convention for a time of learning and fellowship, feel free to drop me an e-mail.

2010....(Here we go again)
Is the year that I will be taking the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), considered to be the most important exam in my life. This exam will determine my future. Beginning with my tertiary education and following that my career. I won't let this year go to waste, what I have been waiting is drawing closer to me day after day. I'm no longer in my diapers watching Sesame Street, I'm grown up and I gotta take some responsibilty for my life. Please pray for me dear readers that I would make the right choices this year, for I have said everything that I do (you do, they do, we do, he does, she does) would affect something in life's process. Hopefully, everything that is done would be pleasing to God and in accordance to His will.

LET THE JOURNEY BEGIN.......

The Reopening of D H A L

While all sorts of recent happenings I find these days, like the H1N1 in my alma mater (and all over the world), the passing of MJ, my promotion to CF secretary, the 3rd place victory of 4K, MBSSKL in the Zon Bangsar Inter-School Choral Speaking Competition 2009, new education systems, my first 2 G9s in form 4, the founding of AANLEE-ism/AANLEEnism, my third place ranking in the inter-class MBSSKL spelling bee competition 2009.....................I've come to the conclusion to reopen this blog of mine. That day was also welcomed by a surprise guest from the USA, Mr Tom Brown. Mr Brown worked as a teacher in MBSSKL many many years back. One very important message Mr Brown touched on was about honoring parents. He spoke on the commandment HONOR THY FATHER AND THY MOTHER during his speech. It was indeed meaningful and worth hearing.

Back to CBD, board members from many schools in the Klang Valley participated in this event and shared the majestic bond of 'leader fellowship'. This majestic bond is used by board leaders to exchange views to improve their respective boards.

Then there were speeches by the 4 heads of the 4 main boards of MBSSKL.

Benny Tham - Prefects
Lau Yii Yang - Librarians
Tan Chia Way - IT Brigade
Joseph Leong - Sportsmen

Every CBD member shows great respect for the 4 for their years of service and loyalty. In this post, I would also like to dedicate the success of the CBD to the following:

Foo Tun Kai

Robert Chia

Chak Wai Yih

Chew Shin Yin, Jocelyn

Kriskkumar

Joshua Yon

Joel Kuan

The 7 of them have shown true leadership in ensuring a smooth flow for the CBD. Also, not forgetting every member who did their very best for the CBD. This year's CBD, as I have mentioned was a success, let's all pray that next year will be able to keep up to the standards.

Fear finally caught up to me....

Wow, tons of stuff have been happening. yesterday was Good Friday and tomorrow's Easter Sunday. No, Saringan Sukan. That means whole day of fun.''

All Praise be to The Lord, my father dropped me to school by car hehehehe.

Then 3rd period came.....''dramatic music plays on'' Cik Norizan gave me my biology paper and, and, and, and, I got an E8. Well, I feel bummed by my result but still I praise God for giving friends and a dad who console me at times like these.

After doing my biology corrections, I went to Puan Lee WP's discipline room. Hahaha I didn't do anything bad, I was in fact appointed to be Ketua Tarik Tali or tug-o-war chief for the Chow Thye house during sports day. Go! Chow Thye Go! Go! Go!

Walked for hours to recruit people for the team and got back just in time for recess. One period after recess, we had English with Pn Loh. Pn Loh decided to have a game with the class, since nobody is interested with studies anyway. Everyone was all competitive as if it was a ''mini-MATTA fair''.

Then, the school bell rung. It was time for my ultimate first day of holiday. I went to Soong Kee Restaurant and had my lunch with Ari and Lak, then we took a bus to Mid Valley for games, bowling and the premier DragonBAll Evolution (DBE).

Well I enjoyed this so called ''cursed day''.

Wishing all Malaysian students HAPPY HOLIDAYS and to SPMers and STPMers CONGRADULATIONS and MAY YOUR AMBITIONS COME TRUE

A Down Turned Odd Turned Fun Day ~ Strangely Related To EL

Many apologies to my readers for placing my blog on a long pause. But hey what can I say: '' Form 4 mah, selalu ada kerja untuk buat ar....'' But now I'm back.

These are the reasons why I chose the post title as seen above ^

The Down
As I had a 4 hour sleep last night, I finally experienced a smothering dream after so long.....

I was in my dream (seemed so real). In the beiginning, I saw my friend (in the dream he had long hair but in real life, he's bald). We were in a mad scientist's lab. In the lab, he was captured by the mad man and tortured. The mad man dropped nuclear substances on my friend's head making him suffer. Slowly the nuclear substance burned up his hair and made him bald (like how he is now). He was suffering. In the dream, I was the first person/main character but I seemed as if I were the third person/audience. I just watched him suffer and could not help. After a while, his suffering ended and I was ''teleported'' to his funeral. Surprisingly, I was wearing the shirt I bought not long ago (an addidas white shirt with black stripes). Eventhough it was my favourite shirt, it suited the occasion of a funeral. As I reached my friend's casket, I was terribly shocked because I saw no body but a head (removed from his body) so ugly it looked as if he died as Lord Voldermort. I woke up in tears. Still, shortly after I've changed my clothes and departed for school.

Surprisingly similar to the poem Dulce Et Decorum Est by Wilfred Owen, when the poet watched his friend suffer and could do nothing.

During English lesson in school, I was entrusted by my teacher to write the questions on the board for my class to copy as homework, while my teacher took the workbooks. Then, there came the friend I once had but whom I forgiven (although he has not forgiven me). {As a reference to my readers, I have written about this former friend in a previous post but did not reveal his name or code name} I will give his code name today which is: 652. 652 insulted my handwriting claiming if my handwriting was beautiful his would be the best. None stop taunting from him and slowly parts of the class followed. I did not mind my other classmates but I seriously mind 652. Eventually I wrote his father's name (out of rage) but still I stood quiet. I've received a series of scolding from others (except my closest of friends). Eventually I finished, the teacher thanked me and I had my seat. My dear friend Initial JCKY said that I shouldn't written 652's father's name. But JCKY did applaud my calmness.

The Odd 1
It was Moral period after English, the topic was something I couldn't imagine ~ it was about tolerating others. Exactly what I did just now. Odd, very odd. Everything from the topic's passage referred tolerance like what I did. God must be giving some kind of sign. We ended the class and moved to recess.

The Odd 2
After recess, came my favourite period Literature in English or commonly known as EL. And the topic was about conflict and war. It was referring to the poem The Man He Killed by Thomas Hardy. Also, quite similar to the conflict I constantly have with 652. But through the poem, I finally knew how 652 and I came to conflict. We were once friends but there is an evil force preventing us from gaining friendship. Like in the poem where the poet had to kill the innocent man out of his will because it was his duty to the country. So God put me to the test. To pass the test I have to bring 652 to Christ and then we will slowly rekindle our friendship from there.

Well, now that The Down and Odd are over I move to The Fun part of the day.

The Fun
Tuition........
To many, this is either torture or the best time to sleep. To me, it was the chance to meet new friends and pull up my grades. Meet new friends I did because everyone was so friendly and the teacher was excellent. The teacher is an old close-friend. It was a small class and everyone had a good time with mathematics. The teacher whom I shall refer to as ''Sir'' (because he doesn't wear a skirt), refreshed our form 3 syllabus and introduced the last few chapters of the form 4 syllabus. ''Sir'' made it fun and easy to cope. Now, I fear not the subject of Math no more.

Well, to me today was a good day and I hope for a better tomorrow. Good Day, all.

1st Week of Form 4 as a Kensettian

Wow.............. To all my beloved juniors who think Form 4 will be your honeymoon year, here's my response:''Think Again!''

For a student in 4Kensett or 4Clancy, the expectation for each student I believe is straight A's and good co-curricular marks. But hey, overall it's pretty cool. Many people with high-profiles still blog to share views and make discussions. Blogging is also a way to keep in touch with distant relatives and to make new friends. Blogging is also a tool whereby used to tell stories and share facts.

Although there are pros to blogging, it is still better to exercise safety measures. After watching Twilight, the guys and I went to the toilet on the 3rd floor (the same floor as the cinema). As expected tons of people were there lining up to pee. The guys were all like willing to wait for their turn (knowing that it'll take 8 minutes or more). I was surprised none of the guys had any common sense related to 'the art of elimination'. As I was an impatient fellow, I asked them to follow me one floor down (only taking 10 seconds to walk down the stairs) and go to the toilet there (another 15 seconds, maybe). They did as I told and hey tons of vacant space to pee. That's when they all literally learned something as I explained 'the art of elimination'.

Example 1: It's like when you like a girl but the girl doesn't like you. What do you do? Cry...NO!!! You go find another one (eliminate her from your list of possible girlfriends).

Example 2: Two great movies came on the big screen and you didn't get a chance to buy a ticket for your first choice because it was sold out. Your friend just watched your first choice movie and did not enjoy it, but your curious about the story. What do you do?
A. Book a ticket for tomorrow or some day within the month of the premier
B. See another movie which you have not seen or your second choice
C. Cry to your parents
D. Wait 2 months until you get it in DVD

A, B and D are the best three, so eliminate C. Your busy tomorrow and the whole month. Eliminate A. So keep option B and D.

2nd Quick Post ~ An Unbeliveable Testimony Shared, But I Believe Every Bit
Today during my lunch break at Uncle Kong Ming's stall, I managed to chat with Brother Roshan (a speaker from the KL/PJ SCF Convention and the NSCFL Camp 2008 by SU. Roshan is also an old boy from MBSSKL) and his friends (who were also old boys from MBSSKL). So when Roshan left, I had a chat with his friend (Roshan's junior by 1 year) Mark Yap. He told me everything about his school life, like the prefect-librarian rivalry (now known as the 3 on 1 rivalry as in Pakatan IT Brigade, Librarian and Sportsmen (PITBLS) against Barisan Pengawas Sekolah (BPS) ) , the former principals and a little bit about himself as a students. I think I won't need to waste my time writing on the never-ending rivalry. Just so you readers know Mark Yap is a prefect and I'm a member of the IT Brigade.

Based on his own words of Mr Loh Kung Sing (principal of MBSSKL 1986-1995), he said Mr Loh will run with his cane to Petaling Street and canes students who are being naughty out of school. He said, Mr Loh will cane them in public. Mark also told me what his dad's friend told him about Mr T Mori, R.C.D. (principal of MBSSKL 1955-1968). He said Mr T Mori will RUN to Petaling Street and use judo to whack up naughty boys in public, if Mr T Mori catches them acting like hooligans who give the school a bad name. Ok, now I think I know where the nicknames for MBS came from. When I asked him wether students under Mr Loh's time needed to bring the Kamus Dewan and English Dictionary and those who don't will be caned (like what Mrs Ng Teck Seng said), he said yes.

Mark also told me about himself and his testimony of God. He welcomed me to share the story, so I'm going to share it. He said, he's been to heaven before. Anybody who hears this will be like: ''Huh?! That's a load of rubbish.'' Same goes for me at first. He told me when he was in form 5, he fell feverish with extremely high fever. He was hospitalised and died (for a short-period of time). During his short period death, he went to heaven and saw Jesus (with His nail pierced hands). He also went to hell (to visit) and saw people being tortured with forks and being burnt. He said, the people in hell were suffering; some praised God there, but there was no way out. Then God gave him a choice

A. join Him in heaven
B. go back to earth with conditions:

He will lose all his intelligence and have to start over (no more being Number 1)

Short term memory loss

Others

Mark chose B of course, if not how can I post this stuff about a dead guy whom I just met today. He chose B because he has a girlfriend and because he loves his mother very much. Sadly, he and his girlfriend broke up. Anyway, the three conditions came true from number 1 to straight failure. He said he forgot all of his facts from sejarah (history). He said he was surprised that he could recognise Roshan, he even told me he just forgotten my name after that long chat on heaven. After that near death experience, he goes on with his life preaching, working and helping out with the Boys Brigade. The fact why I could believe him because, firstly, he looked different from the regular people I know (he can speak well though), secondly, it's because he spoke very honestly (not like any good liar) He told me that he's on medication till now. He said that many people today need medicine for their mentality and emotional purposes. That I know and believe.

Well up to you, wether you want to accept this story.

That's all for my first 2 in 1 Quick Post.

A Kung Fu Brawl, at the Noodle Stall

This post shouldn't have been posted but what the heck, this was the first fight I've seen not on screens. (also not involving me)

It all started yesterday in the early noon at Brunei Road, Pudu. I was having lunch with mom and after we ordered, we saw a strange man who just passed by our table. That man walked straight to the old man (also a worker at the stall) and kicked the old man. The other workers and the others who were having their lunch were like ''shioked'' to suddenly see a man get kicked.

Many people just sat there and wathced the old man get pounded. After the strange man had enough he just walked away and everything was back to normal. Only the workers helped the old man get up. What about the others, aren't we responsible for the welfare of others. Or are we just the audience never willing to step in and become a hero. It's a sad sight to see when an innocent person gets bullied by others and no one there's to lend a hand or call for help. More imporatntly why would someone do this to a defenseless old man?!

Forgetting Responsibility & Taking Life Too Simple

It's easy to say: ''Yes Mom, I'm going to clean my room.'' Is it easy to get the job done? It's even easier to say a prayer but yet sometimes it is not done. It's not difficult to go to Times Square from the LRT or Monorail, but why are some taking cabs? It doesn't take a Big Man to say ''sorry''. It's not something dangerous to be humble. Wow! The simplest thing is just by listing it one-by-one and I'm the one doing it. No, I'm not writing crap for others to praise my blog or ''boo'' my blog, I'm posting this post to remind myself and others about doing things to make a difference in life.

With this post I attach the Ten Commandments as well. Also, this post is related to Phil Collins' Another Day in Paradise.

Exodus 20
The Ten Commandments

1 And God spoke all these words, saying,
2 "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
3 "You shall have no other gods before me.
4 "You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, 6but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.
7 "You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.
8 "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, 10but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. 11For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
12 "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you.
13 "You shall not murder.
14 "You shall not commit adultery.
15 "You shall not steal.
16 "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
17 "You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor’s."
18Now when all the people saw the thunder and the flashes of lightning and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking, the people were afraid and trembled, and they stood far off 19and said to Moses, "You speak to us, and we will listen; but do not let God speak to us, lest we die." 20 Moses said to the people, "Do not fear, for God has come to test you, that the fear of him may be before you, that you may not sin." 21The people stood far off, while Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was.

Phil Collins - Another Day In Paradise

She calls out to the man on the street
"Sir, can you help me?
It's cold and I've nowhere to sleep,
Is there somewhere you can tell me?"

He walks on, doesn't look back
He pretends he can't hear her
Starts to whistle as he crosses the street
Seems embarrassed to be there

Oh think twice, it's another day for
You and me in paradise
Oh think twice, it's just another day for you,
You and me in paradise

She calls out to the man on the street
He can see she's been crying
She's got blisters on the soles of her feet
Can't walk but she's trying

Oh think twice...

Oh lord, is there nothing more anybody can do
Oh lord, there must be something you can say

You can tell from the lines on her face
You can see that she's been there
Probably been moved on from every place
'Cos she didn't fit in there

Oh think twice...

I hope what I've written is not just to make my blog look more ''blog-like'', but to actually make a difference. My brother scouts were not so lucky. As I was resting and preparing the dinner for 40, they were suffering. They weren't just suffering from sore/injured legs, they were suffering from starvation and thirst. At the same time they were freezing and sleepy. But as a trusted senior scout, I was weak and could not be there to share the bad times with them. I bore grief and just can't stop thinking what's going to happen to them.

The hours past 9pm........10pm......11pm.....12am and so on. Thunderous chills came from every corner of the jungle. Kar Wai was sobbing away (I could understand his pain) and started to pray. I joined in and prayed for the 40 for a safe journey back to the campsite. Then The Lord went forth, sending the experience scouters and Kar Wai (again) back up Gunung Gutu.

Then at about 1.50am a small part of the group returned. I was relieved, and served them Ayam Goreng (fried chicken) with rice and Milo. It seemed the first group's appetite was excellent as they cleared most of my Ayam Goreng leaving very few for others. The news struck to me that my friend Benjamin Au was badly injured. I was shocked but I had to leave it to God and His men (scouters) to save Benjamin. He came back with the last group at 5am (sadly, I was sleeping).

Life is very precious, we were blessed that no one got left out and everyone managed to go home in the end. Eventhough I was not in their shoes I could feel the shortness of life, as anything can happen. But above all I stick to my principles, and leave the rest to God to guide everyone through life, every step of the way. Praise The Lord for His grace, forgiveness and mercy.

A Leech in The Arse

I don't know wether this saying is in any dictionary, but in my book there's a true story to tell...

It all started on the second day of my year end camp at Sungai Pertak, Kuala Kubu Bahru. On that particular day was actually Hike Day. The group of 40 scouts went through tough obstacles to reach the top of Gunung Kutu to get a bird's eye view of the Kuala Kubu Bahru town. On the way up, I considered to be the clumsiest as I kept on falling on the ground (ouch).

Eventually I injured my leg and could not continue the journey to the top. So, Mock Kar Wai (rover scout) and Wong Hsien Loong (penolong pemimpin) helped to support me back to the campsite for rest. Through slippery grounds the three of us went down (as well as up). As we were walking, Kar Wai noticed a LEECH sticking out of my pants (at the back). We stopped by a small river to try and remove the leech. However, the darn leech wouldn't leave me alone. We tried everything including poking it, soaking it in water and even rubbing tuna solution on it, but the leech wouldn't stop sucking.

After a series of time, we reached a mud pile (around 50 steps from the campsite). That's when the leech started to loosen and left my hiney. After that experience, my backside just keeps on aching all the way till the time I'm writing this post.

Painful story ain't it (haha). Well, to define my saying of 'A Leech in The Arse' is: something which causes phisical/emotional/spiritual/mental pain for a period of time. I wonder wether this saying is allowed in essay writing?!

The New In-Things ~ Cyber-socialising

Seriouly.....this is no joke! Cyber-socialising is the new In-Thing, and it's totally fun. Students, workers, employers, leaders and celebrities all come together through Facebook and Friendster. Plus, it's my new hobby during this long and probably never-ending holiday. (sadly, it's gonna end) Within the first day I started Facebook, I have like 10 friends and growing. Awesome!!! For Friendster I currently have 301 friends, so now I want to improve my Facebook profile. And a bit of encouragement to start this hobby is that it's totally free and have so many tools and applications. You can play games and comment on friends at the same time. Below are the links to my Friendster and facebook profile.

http://www.facebook.com/friends/?ref=tn#/profile.php?id=723216784&ref=profile

http://profiles.friendster.com/danielhong15

Remember to add me :D

Silence and Solitude

Yup this is considered a new topic for me, because this is my first time doing Silence and Solitude. 3 hours alone with God on Friday at the NSCFL CAMP. I learned a lot about leadership from that 3 hours. To those leaders or leaders-to-be, here's just a bit of stuff which I picked up from 1 Samuel and 2 Samuel of The Holy Bible. Hope it's useful, hehe....

As a leader, never look down on others.

Pray, when being faced with difficulties and seek the help of God.

Give praise to God for everything he has done.

God is Almighty and can do many miracles.

Those who sin against God will never go unpunished.

At times, it's better not to have a leader. Well, on 1 night we had supper and supper was Cicak Tau Sha Pau (Lizard and red-bean buns). The girls freaked out, so I heard. Anyway, the Cicak Tau Sha Pau had to be eaten. If not it would go to waste. So me, Shu (Tze Yuh/Daniel), Uncle Jimmy Wang and some others ate some. It tasted pretty good (not really, needed to be steamed). We even helped to clear the extra Milo, which Josephine's group made. Josephine was afraid of the Cicak Tau Sha Pau. So, Shu tried to like calm her down. To me I was enjoying myself because the food was prayed for and blessed by God. Uncle Jimmy even told us a story about catching Cicak.

To me basically is that there's nothing to be afraid of when it comes to lizards and any other creatures. You should only fear God who is Almighty. God will judge those who have sinned and done bad things, so that should be one reason to feel afraid. But if you do good, God will bless you and reward you in many ways.

The Meaning of My Name Part 2

I had to write this part 2 before I leave for my camp in Seremban. Both my parents were also present. The four of us had our chat in the principal's office. We went through so many topics including education and national affairs. But the topic which I want to highlight is on profession. My mother told Mr Pang, that every profesion has their equal difficulties. Yet, every profession has a common main objective, also scout law number 3: to be useful and to help others.

Today, people of all professions are doing their best achieve this objective. They are also doing their part to aid the world's future leaders (children) and mother nature. Like, Gurmit Singh (Phua Chu Kang) he may not be a health officer but he reminds the people of earth on hygiene and how to prevent SARS. No doubt I am in love with this talent, which many people have. But like Tun Dr Mahathir (he can't swim), I have my weaknesses as well. Now if you're a natural born artist with the potential to play around with colours, by golly I say go for it and have fun. Don't listen to those jealous freaks who say, brother, u cannot get job leh if you become artist.

This is very untrue and it is insulting to many great people. So if you can't sing but you can cook up a delicous Crème brûlée, then allez pour lui (go for it) because that is unleashing potential.

Well, there is a kind of art which I specialise in and that is the art of speech (speaking). No doubt I love this art of speaking, it is a great talent used for socialising and also raising one's popularity. As the saying goes, speak well, treated well; speakly rudely, treated rudely. A tip for readers is whenever you speak, try and make the other party feel good, without acting like a total bodek (shoe polisher/chak hai zai). Another tip is speak confidently, don't talk all scared like as if you watched Resident Evil before naptime.

Ahhh art, you never cease to impress us.

For the coolest blog>The Butterfly Award

Thank you Jack (Lee Tze Jiet) for nominating me. This a short story like 'The Pencil' but no violence nor hate is involved. Like I said in my previous post primary school life is always the best and I support what I say to the max. Today, was the 80th Davidson Primary School Alumni Anniversary. As I expected it was memorable and fun. And as a result, the food rocks. We had mutton, satay, fried mee, fried rice, ais kacang, orange juice, soya bean milk etc. YUM..... Haha and for the first time, me and two friends (Guo Dong and Keen Kok) enetered Principal Pang Chong Leong's office for a photo. Pictures can be seen at my friendster. Good times, good times. Blessed we are indeed, to gather together to fellowship among old friends.

RE: VOTED THE BEST EMAIL OF THIS YEAR‏

Before I received this e-mail, I was the kind of guy who would shout and scream over a guy that pisses me off frequently where ever I meet him. So now I'm going to give everyone the meaning. Hong (surname) Aan Lee (safe and peaceful). Great meaning eh? Yeah well asked my parents that and they told me. Sometimes I've been asked to wether I would want to change my name (ok maybe yeah, in the past), but i'd grown to look like this name and I use it everywhere I go. Most of the time I hide my last name with my Christian name (Daniel). Because of the faktor ejek coming from my name and also the common spelling mistake of my last name. Hahaha if you were in my class you would here tons of nicknames ranging from water buffalo to Ngau Mo Wong (Adam Ang's nickname for me) coming at me, plus some fellas pronounce Aan as Anne LOL. My favourite nickname is the one where people refer to me as the famous director, Ang Lee. Now that's a good one for me.

Battle of the Box Office

Recently, movies have become a craze internationally. Yes, we all hope to see that Gabriella Montez or Troy Bolton of our dreams. Sadly, life isn't always a trip to CherryWorld (taken from the Fairly Odd Parents), it's more like a roller-coaster ride with ups and downs (and occasional pukes on the ride). In HSM as you may have noticed, the guy and the girl fall in love for the first time when they sing together on stage, (and magically) they end up studying together in the same school. Not just that, whatever that spoiled drama queen does to ruin that couple, the couple are still strong and forever loving. And you know what, the both of them study at univerisities near each other (after graduation). Wow, a dream come true.

Not to be too similar to Li Yang's blog but would anyone want to live a dull, unhappy life; when they can live life like Troy and Gabriella?

It's a one-sided debate. When the speaker (MR Lim) finished this joke, everyone laughed till the roof started to crumble (not so serious lah), but it's a good one.

There were 4 people on a jet, the PM, the minister of transport, a schoolboy and the jet's pilot. After a period of time on the air, the jet began to lose power, the jet was expected to crash. There were 3 parachutes, so the 4 people had to choose between themselves who would have to jump for the greater good.

The PM said, I am the country's leader. I must take the parachute, so that I may continue to lead the country.

He took one parachute and jumped out the window.

The minister of transport said, I'm just as important as the PM.

So he took one and jumped.

The pilot told the schoolboy, you are young and have a long way to go. I am old and it's time for me to meet my maker.

The schoolboy replied, uncle, don't worry we have 2 parachutes left. One for you and one for me. The minister of transport took my schoolbag and made a jump.

THE END

Your alma mater

The word alma mater means nourishing mother in Latin, but here in Malaysia it is used as the term 'your previous school'. I feel proud to be a student of SRJK(c)Jalan Davidson (德威伸路国民型华文学校/州立华文小学). I post this today so that I may receive a response from the alumni of my alma mater, to take a day off to visit the school. On the 7th of November, the alumni of my alma mater will return to the school for a visit and chat with their fellow alumni counterparts as well as their beloved teachers.

For me it has been 3 years since I have left my primary education and went on to middle school. Primary school for me had more ups then downs, though most of the time I was the English dictionary for my classmates (the guy who always gets 100% for Mrs Yee's and Mdm Tay's class). Well, no doubt every where you go, you will face challenges on a certain topic or your class rival. This healthy process trains you mentally and emotionally for the future ahead. To most of us (including myself) primary school life is the best time of my life. Studies are back in their basics and no head-scratching projects to be dealt with. After Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) or The Primary School Achievement Exams, most students will empty their backpacks and bring games to school to share with their classmates. Doesn't that sound fun?

Then there's middle school, it's not as easy to handle like what they say in Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide. Hahaha well i'll leave that for another day. Bye bye.

Faith, Facts and Fake PART 1

Now I would be sharing something on creation. 'Rahmat bahagia, Tuhan kurniakan' from the National Anthem Negaraku means 'Blessings of happiness, may God grant'. On the same topic, humans are also blessings from God. There has been many arguments on 'the Big Bang', with such quotes stating that man originated from monkeys.

To some of you, you would say, ''korek korek korek (this Daniel Hong Aan Lee dumb like mad), surelah human come from monkey, where else?''

Well, to me I believe what is stated in the Holy Bible~The Book of Genesis. That God created man in his own image; God patterned them after himself; male and female he created them. You may find this in Genesis Chapter 1.

So the debate continues...

Who is right? Who is wrong?

To me, I don't give people a right or wrong answer for topics like this. But, to support my motion, I want to say that there are a large number of people and books of religion stating that God created man. OK, if you don't believe what I said, then I have a quote.

If there is no God, how can there be man?

Still don't belive me. Fine. One more thing.

If you're Malaysian read KBSM Buku Teks Pendidikan Moral Form 1 Bab 1. Immediately, what come's into your mind is, ''*ZHA DAO* ....He's right.''

See never lied right? Even form 1 students know. Meaning, that you trust in Him and accept Him to be your Lord and Saviour. Many people (sometimes even me) will lose faith when going up against a test or problem. Here's a good verse that I viewed during chapel period today, (religous period on Wednesday, where students will go to their respective places of worship to worship) when you think you're running weak in faith.

Isaiah 7:7-9 New Living Translation (NLT)
But this is what The Sovereign Lord says,........... Chess, English and ICT. Well, I already bagged English and ICT. All's left is chess. That doesn't mean I suck in chess, eventhough in many people's eye I'm not your everyday 'Chess Lord'....

Hahaha I don't know why am I boring u with my cock and bull story. Anyway, chess is a great game, if you have a chance to play, like Nike said , Just Do It! Don't have this rubbish in your head saying that, 'chess players are nerds'. Because this has not been tested with facts.

Now, a little bit about chess in my school. Today, 10 students from MBSSKL form 3 played against form 3 players from SMKA Sheikh Mohd Hj Said, Seremban (SMKA SHAMS). Very similar to MBSSKL is that they're a cluster school with a niche area in chess and Pendidikan Islam. I don't remember the names of all ten reps from SMKA SHAMS (please forgive me guys), what I do remember well.... That's gonna be a long story. (Way to go Aan Lee your making the readers sleep)

The 10 from MBSSKL were: (This is not 'Feng Shen Bang')

Hong Aan Lee (c)

Christopher Poon

Pang Wen Shean

Teong Dun Yan

Leong Guobin

Benjamin Ho

Nizar

Mohd Tawfeek

Ng Jue Chuan

Derek Chan

And the SMKA SHAMS team led by Farid. Did I tell you he is a very good public speaker? More importantly, the final score of the day was 11-9 declaring SMKA SHAMS the winner of the day. Well, I had a great experience and I believe my teammates also done a sensational job. Very much more impotantly is that we produced unity and good sportsmanship among 2 prominent schools in Malaysia.

So chess ain't so bad, when you meet new friends and start having a good time. Like I said in the beginnning, seize the opportunity to play chess.

PMR 2008

Did you know, behind every 6 students, 5 will fear examinations. (Your future will see darkness, if you do so!)

As for me, I enjoyed my PMR and I believed many of my seniors and friends did too.

Intro

Blogging......
